Wanted: Hunter Tall Rain Boots

Hunter Original Tall Wellington Rain Boots:
Jade Green || Metallic Silver || Red Gloss || Yellow Gloss || Blue Lily || Black Gloss || Denim Blue || Lipstick Pink

I've spent my last 10 years living in sunny and warm cities in Florida and California. After being back here in Raleigh for the last 9 months or so, I have finally come to terms with the fact that I actually need a winter wardrobe. Which means a real winter coat and a real pair of weather proof boots. I mean it's been raining here all year and with this last blast of winter snow, I have decided to invest in a pair of Hunter Wellington Boots. Now if I just decide which color to get..... Should I go classic black or a bright shade of yellow? What about my signature color pink or a metallic pair? Too many decisions - help!

Speaking of my current wish list - have you entered my giveaway for 2 Belk $75 gift cards? Oh yes that means two winners!

Now Trending: Mules

Okay so I know when you typically think of mules you're thinking of garden clogs or shoes for the "over 60" category. But I promise you these aren't your grandma's backless heels...

Mule Trend Spring/Summer 2014

I'm kind of surprised by how attracted to this style I am but I have definitely gone from hate to love. For some reason, I just can't get the thought of a wide leather front and chunky heel out of my head. I think the best part about this 90's revival are the modern touches like laser cutouts, pointed toes or a splash of metallic. Lucky for you I've picked out some options that are sure to fit any one's budget. So what are you guys thinking about this style? Are you willing to try it or do you think you'll leave the mules of the world to Nana?

Sole Society Pick: End of Season Sale!

I just love a good sale, don't you? I get like a seriously disturbing high from finding a bargain. Right now, one of my go-to shoe shopping sites, Sole Society, is currently have a MAJ markdown moment on some fabulous shoes! And if you've been on the fence about what ones to purchase, now's your chance to score several pairs for 33% off! Here are a few I'm contemplating adding to my closet:

Sole Society Elsa Western Bootie

$69.95 now $46.87
Come on, are you really surprised there are some ankle booties in this selection? Not me.. I seriously can't get enough of them. These Elsa Booties would be perfect with.. everything! (p.s. they come in 2 other colors)

Sole Society Valentina Wedge Boot

$89.95 now $60.27
If you don't have a tall boot in your closet, you're missing out. And even if you do have a pair - what's the harm in having a second (or third?) The Valentina Boot is sure to take your winter wear straight into spring and beyond. I like the black but there's a chocolate color that is just dying for an oxblood pairing.

Sole Society Sydney Printed Platform Wedge

$49.95 now $33.47
Nothing says Spring like a pair of printed, cutout, sky high wedges - am I right? Just give me a cute little sundress, these Sydney Platforms & a tan. Pure perfection.

Sole Society Camila Studded Smoking Flat

$49.95 now $33.47
If you remember correctly, I can't stop wearing my leopard smoking flats. So adding a pair of studded rhinestone loafers seems only appropriate. I'd rock The Camila with shorts, skirts, jeans, dresses - basically anything that will cover my boo-tay. And how can you argue with that price?

Have you guys shopped the sale yet? What have you picked up?

Wanted: Prabal Gurung for Target Lace Up Pumps

The ones that got away! Nolita Print Multi-Color Lace Up Pumps from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection

I really shouldn't even be posting this... I got everything I wanted and more on Sunday when the Prabal Gurung for Target line went on sale.. (see this blurry insta photo from my haul) But these gorgeous multi-color babies just slipped through my fingers early Sunday AM when I went to add them to my bag.. and devastation... Size 6... sold out..... sigh...

So even though my little heart should be content with all the floral & kaleidoscope goodness I did get my hands on.. I can't help but yearn for these neon gorgies. I'm not giving up on them quite yet (remember when I was searching high and low for this bad boy? Successfully found!) So I'll be on the lookout 24/7 and putting scouts to work in different cities too ;)

Oh & if you happen to not want to the pair you bought.. size 6.. Let me know and I will gladly take those off your hands! And no I won't be purchasing them from you for some crazy obscene amount.. I've already seen 1 pair on ebay for $150... but I will pay you for them, plus a little something extra. Can you help a sister out?!

Guest Blogger: Summer's Must-Have Sandals Under $75

While I am on vacation, I've asked several of my favorite blogs to guest post for BAD. I'm such a fan of their sites so I'm excited to share them with you! Next up is Ashley from Pursuit of Shoes. She's no stranger to BAD (her first guest post is here) and yes, I'm still envious of her shoe closet! Here, she's got some fabulous {and affordable!} summer options for you.....

Oh, hello from Pursuit of Shoes! While Nikki is off on a fabulous tropical vaca, I'm dreaming of summer and shoes (obviously). Summer means sandals, sandals and more sandals! Here are a few fabulous options that won't break the bank:

{Zara plaited sandal & studded sandal - $49 // Sam Edelman Gigi - $65// DV by Dolce Vita Archer - $69 & Ilana - $54 }

A good neutral colored sandal will be your summer closet's best friend! You can wear them with anything and everything. I also believe everyone should own a pair of Sam Edelman 'Gigis'- they are the comfiest, basic sandal out there. Psst... Did you know the DV by Dolce Vita 'Archer' is one of Kim Kardashian's favorite sandals this season?!

Thanks Nikki for letting me share my favorite budget friendly sandal picks!

In ♥ With This: Zara Color Block Sandal x's 2

{Zara Color Block Basic Sandal in Red/Purple & Teal/Blue}

These two lovelies should be arriving today around 10 AM via my new best friend, the UPS man. Unfortunately, for my husband and my wallet, I don't think I'd ever be able to decide between them. So it's only natural to keep them both - after all they're completely different... right...?

Sole Society Pick: Wedges for April!

We're already 6 days into April! Hard to believe it.. Time is really flying! As usual, I've found some fabulous spring options from Sole Society (I'm still enjoying my pick from last month's too!) This month, it's all about the wedges for me!

Adore this pair of nautically inspired espadrilles! Colorful wedges are just the pop of color your outfit needs. Perfect for sundresses or shorts and tanks! Your tan tootsies will thank you.

I've been searching high and low for a peep toe nude wedge - this might just be a winner! Lately, I was wavering about ankle straps but the Belinda changed my tune on that situation. Maybe the Rosalie will too! Plus check our that unique detailed wedge - always a conversation piece!

Have you found anything from this month's picks that you love? I want to hear which ones! Happy Friday!! xoxo

Sole Society Pick: March Madness

When I sleepily logged on this morning before my A.M. workout I was not expecting to fall in love everything in my March closet from Sole Society. But boy did they nail the hammer on the head.. or however that expression goes.... And since they just waved their monthly fees you can sign up and not have to worry about skipping!! So here are just a few of my favorites from March...

My favorite favorite FAVORITE shoe this month is the brightly colored Belinda Platform Pump. I absolutely need this pair. I'm sure I can find any excuse to wear these bold babies - even if it's just for a trip to the store for milk.

I've been looking for another open toe bootie and these babies just might hit the spot. They're still colorful but toned down a shade or two so that they'll match any look day or night. They also add a hint of edge from the metallic studs. Love!

If you've been hidden under a rock then you're just now discovering how major the cap toe trend is. These leather like flats would be the perfect choice for work or play while staying fashion forward and comfortable.

Did you ladies discover anything in your closets this morning that made you as giddy as I am? Tell me which ones are your favorites.. I'm also loving this strappy sandal but I didn't want to overload you guys this morning. Happy Thursday!! xoxo

Sole Society Pick: Callista Asymmetrical Sandal

It's February 1st! Which means I got a slew of emails this morning from all my membership club sites. And while I love them all, I was especially excited when I logged on to Sole Society and found these babies in my closet:
The Callista Asymmetrical Sandal is literally shouting "Spring!" My favorite color out of the 3 is the "Nude" color because it's so universal and will last you throughout the summer and beginning of fall. But those Kelly Green sandals are the perfect bold shade for warmer temps and an outfit pick me up. I'm actually a really big fan of asymmetrical sandals because they're so flattering on your feet. They give them a sleek and elongating finish, which is perfect for anyone especially if you're a shorty like me! This fabulous option would pair nicely with all your flirty skirts, sundresses and skinny jeans - really you can't go wrong. I can't wait to get them! What are you loving this month from Sole Society? I want to know! Happy Wednesday!

Lusting After: Designer Shoes

If you're a regular reader you know how much of a budget shopper I am. I hardly ever buy anything over $70 dollars and I'm really proud of my thrifty nature. But that doesn't mean I still don't day dream about owning extremely gorgeous and very expensive pieces - mainly shoes. Since we've been together, the hubs and I have been working so hard to pay off his school loans from Veterinary school. We're so close and next month we will officially be DEBT FREE! I cannot wait for the moment when we send in our final payment. With that being said, I am so excited when I can finally make my first bold purchase and not have a guilty feeling about it. In honor of this new territory, I've already scoped out some amazing choices. Tell me what you think:

Maybe Santa will slip one under the tree for me... wishful thinking! Merry Early Christmas everyone!!

Lusting After: Leopard Smoking Flats

Thought we could start Monday off with something lovely that's on my current wish list! These adorable leopard smoking flats/loafers have been spotted all over the blog circuit lately. I too have been struck by this new twist on the latest leopard craze. However shelling out almost $300 for a pair won't be happening anytime soon so I'm determined to find a look for less. I'll be sure to post the options when I find them. In the mean time... aren't they so pretty! Happy Monday! xoxo

Steal Her Look For Less: Giuliana Rancic's Statement Shoe

A few weeks ago I posted about a fabulous LOD I caught on Giuliana Rancic while she attended Chelsea Lately. It ended up being one of the more popular posts on the blog and I've gotten lots of emails and Facebook comments about it. So when I recently found 3 pairs of statement shoes at an amazing price that would get you a similar style I had to let you know! Just a reminder here is Giuliana's outfit and her amazing Giuseppe Zanotti shoes I fell in love with:

{You'll remember I had a hard time finding images of her}
Here's the coveted pair: Guiseppe Zanotti E10089 - Retails for $1,500.

While I am sure most of you have $1,500 lying around - I don't. And even though this could be a SUPER easy and absolutely fun DIY, I still found some fabulous statement shoes that any woman could wear when she wants her shoes to take center stage. Ready....

Fabulous Find: Leopard Booties

Hi Loves! How was your holiday weekend? Hopefully you enjoyed it. I'll indulge you with a purchase that finally arrived today!

I've been on the hunt for some leopard booties ever since this post. I actually found those amazing Rock & Republic shoes one day from a sale on HauteLook. But due to a sizing issue they sadly never worked and I was back on the trail again. After searching and searching for another option that was cute and affordable [key word!] I came across these adorable booties a few weeks ago. I was shocked when I saw they were from Charlotte Russe and only 35 bucks! I immediately purchased them and they arrived today cheering my Tuesday right up! Even though we're about to hit summer I figure I still have a few days left to wear them and they'll be perfect for all my fall outfits! Do you love? Head over here to Charlotte Russe where you can add these to your own closet and take note from these lovely celebs on ways to style them!

Diane Kruger and Olivia Palermo prove Menswear Chic or Girly Style both go with leopard booties

Whitney Port wears edgy leather shorts while Jessica Szohr dons a black jumpsuit for their leopard boots

 I can't wait to rush home and put them on to see if they fit! Here's hoping.... Happy Tuesday! :)

Guest Blogger: Put A Spring In Your Step - Spring Shoe Options

While I am gone on my trip I'll have several guest bloggers writing for Bedazzles After Dark. I love reading their blogs and I wanted to introduce them to my readers! Here is Ashley. Now if you thought you were a shoe lover, let me tell you, you have nothing on Ash. Writing for her blog Pursuit Of Shoes, Ashley is my go to gal when it comes to knowledge of footwear. She loves high end designer pieces (Louboutins, Manolos, Brian Atwoods) as well as affordable options too! (J. Crew, Dolce Vita, Steve Madden) It's fun to see what shoes she wears next (I swear she has a never ending closet - look at this pic!) So here are some of her favorite styles for the Spring/Summer with a few cash friendly options thrown in there too.....

Spring is finally here and I can’t get enough of the SS ‘11 shoe choices. With so many options, it may be hard to nail down the new shoes that will make it into your shoe closet but Pursuit’s got the right picks for any fashionista. Here are 3 perfect styles to grab for a smooth spring to summer transition:

Sky High Espadrille Wedges
Charlotte Olympia Carmen textured-cotton espadrille pumps WHISPER Pink Peeptoe Espadrilles Pour La Victoire Jaclyn Espadrilles

Wedges are great way to add height without a teetering stiletto! I love the espadrille look because it’s so beachy but can be dressed up for evening. {Charlotte Olympia, Top Shop, Pour La Victoire}

Simple Sandals with Unexpected Details
DV by Dolce Vita 'Dakota' Sandal Sam Edelman 'Gigi' Sandal Dolce Vita Idalia

A fabulous pair of basic sandals is a must for any shoe lover’s summer closet. Spice it up this year with unexpected details such as animal prints or tassels. {DV by Dolce Vita, Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita}

Ballet Flats that Pop
TORY BURCH EDDIE BALLET FLAT PEACOCK BLUE PATENT J. Crew Classic leather ballet flats Bloch Patent Ballerina Flat at Urban Outfitters

Color! Color is taking over my SS ’11 wardrobe and I love it. Don’t forget about the shoes! Bold flats will carry you comfortably from spring through summer and you’ll look oh-so stylish. {Tory Burch, J. Crew, Bloch}

Thanks Nikki and BAD reader’s for having me guest post. It’s always so fun to work with stylish friends and bloggers!! Keep Pursuing Shoes – Ash
