October Daily: Day 8 6x8 Layout Process Video

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a 6x8 layout in my October Daily Album! I also have a flip through video if you want to see my completed pages so far!

For this day, I focused on my little self-care break. I took a trip to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Creme Cold Brew. I don't head to Starbucks everyday, but when I do it is usually for a pumpkin treat in the Fall. What are some little things you are thankful for today?

Daily December Album 2015: Days 1-5

So this is the first year I have ever attempted making a physical, dedicated December album!
I have, however,  created digital Christmas albums with the Project Life® and Shutterfly products that I
have completely loved!!
This year, I am on the Clique Kits Design Team, so I am using the "Clique Into December" kit, and the Snap Christmas Binder. (some Christmas supplies are still available in the shop)

Day 1: Cozy( prompt was comfy) made a sequin pocket with the Fuse Tool and the Pinkfresh Studio acetate countdown pieces.

Day 2: Lights, simple to capture and keep up using the prompts from Clique Kits and the Kit. Will also be using the Kellie Stamps Digital December New Releases like the "December 02" circle above, and the "Magic" set.  Available at http://www.kelliestamps.bigcartel.com

Day 3: Tree, photo shopping at Target, and got a bokeh shot of our tree. Had to retake the photo to include those adorable cork stickers from Turquoise Ave Shoppe on Etsy!!! LOVE!!

Day 3: both sides using the tree prompt. Kellie Stamps Digital December set used above.

Day4: Silver is the prompt for today.

Day 5: Cup: punched some tissue paper circles and die cut the acetate piece into a circle. Simple and done!

Thank you so much for visiting!

Ten Creative Ways To Use Digital Stamps, Idea Three

Thanks for joining me today, for the third post in this series.

IDEA #3: CAPTION IT!

For this week's post, we are focusing on ways to use your digital stamps, or PNG files as captions.

SUPPLIES: Kellie Stamps Digital sets, "Kiddo",  Project Life® Core Kit: Heidi Swapp Prismatic, wood veneer: Pinkfresh Studios from Clique Kits. I created captions with the "So Proud" Kellie Stamp, and the "You're Awesome".

You can create your own caption at the top of a blank 3x4  (or any size you want!) card and leave space for journaling. I created this card in Adobe Photoshop, but any program that allows you to import PNG or JPEG files will work. I simply add shapes and color them in with the eyedropper tool in Photoshop, like the two triangles above. I  clicked the eyedropper on my son's shirt, and got the magenta color that coordinated with the Heidi Swapp Prismatic Project Life® cards. The possibilities are endless, and you are only limited by the number of shapes you can imagine.

If you don't have any journaling, but need a filler card, you can move the shape with the digital stamp to the center of the card. Move it anywhere you like, that's the beauty of digital stamps!  Click Edit, or undo and try again!

You can also use digital stamps to create captions on your photos. I like to place them in the blurry background, as I did here with the Kellie Stamps Digital "Kiddo" set. You can draw attention to a specific feature in the photo by your placement. Here, attention is focused on her eye by lining the stamp up with her eyes.

Try out some digital stamping , and creating journaling or filler cards with your digital supplies. It definitely adds to your crafty arsenal and makes your supplies stretch farther.

Thank you for joining me today!
Hugs,
Artful Leigh

Completed Week In The Life™ 2015 You-tube Video

Yes, doing a happy dance!
My video is LIVE now!!

It's complete!! A big HUGE thank you to Ali Edwards for this amazing project, free prompts, and encouragement! I can't even begin to tell you how much I treasure this completed album! It captures in detail the last week of our summer, and one of the last weeks our son lived at home ( he moved out to his first college apartment!) While it was emotionally difficult, the journaling, photos, and memories were cathartic. The focused and deliberate recording of these moments helped me through. Thank you to the #WeekInTheLife FB group as well!!

All links are in the DESCRIPTION BOX on the You-tube video! :)
but here's a link to Ali Edwards

Close up: love the labels and wood veneer words from the kit.

Close up of the Acetate 3x4 cards from Pinkfresh Studio in my Clique Kits Design Team package. Used another Snap Photo Flip Pocket sized 3x4 to adhere the acetate card and the plastic 4 from Ali's kit over the photo of our Pomeranian. :)

Page 5 & 6: Highlighted the word Wednesday with Hero Arts Pool ink and a label stamp, stuck the packaging sticker on the yellow striped card, and called it done. Now on to Thursday!!

Week In The Life :Sunday Page Share by Artful Leigh Creative

Yesterday was one of those days,
and I just had to make something with my hands and journal.
It's therapeutic for me.
So I made a sunday pre week page for August 16, 2015 #weekinthelife
in my 6x8 #ProjectLife album.

ALL Supplies: www.AliEdwards.com, 2015 Week In The Life, and the 6x8 digital page template from her digital section of her shop......LOVE!

I had never used the Ali Edwards digital templates before, and they ROCK! I simply added the photos and line art that I wanted for this left side and it's so cool that you can move each element of her digital templates...I didn't know they were so east to use!!

Right side is 3 3x4 photos and a quick 2.25x2.25 white card stock piece to go behind the label that came in the Ali Edwards WITL kit. Photos and words and minimal embellishment.

After I figured out the photos and printed this was a less than ten minute page! Dude! You can do this! :)

Monday #WeekInTheLife 2015 by Artful Leigh Creative

Here's a look at my title page for
Week In The Life by Ali Edwards,
I love how she approaches this and the way she teaches us to look
at our lives with a fresh approach.
I can't wait to see what I learn about our family this week.

All Supplies: Ali Edwards.com from her 2015 Week In The Life Black and White Album Kit

So, started off with some planning and checking out the kit with coffee, of course. My new favorite little succulent plant and pot from West Elm :) just makes me happy!

Monday Morning: chores, making the bed

Monday Morning: routine

back to the craft room

Monday Afternoon: kitty in the craft room

Monday Afternoon: Treats after they go outside

Monday Evening: checking the pool while I start the grill for dinner and Dad's home= time for tickle and teasing and laughter.

Monday Evening: Dinner = Grilled Greek chicken and Fines Herbed red potatoes grilled.

Monday Evening: after dinner groceries, always waiting until the sun goes down so the car isn't 165* and the meats aren't cooked by the time I get home. Feeling like a desert vampire most days, just looking to avoid the sunlight:) . Late workout means I forgot to grab a pic and this one of my Fitbit is from the next morning (Tuesday).

Thank to Ali Edwards for this free project!!
