Explanation of Solution
Given: The method setValue is called by passing an illegal value as a parameter.
To find:Â The result if the user calls the setValue method with an illegal value and identify if it is a good solution. If not, provide a better solution.
Solution:
When the user calls the setValue method with an illegal value of type int, then nothing happens and the value does not change.
For example, if an object of NumberDisplay class is created with limit 6,
NumberDisplay nd=new NumberDisplay(6);
Then, the values greater than 5 or less than 0 will be considered as illegal values. When the user passes a value that is greater than 5 or less than 0, then nothing happens and the output value also does not change.
Here, the setValue method takes 2 as an argument of int type.
The setValue method sets the value to 2.
Now, with the help of the getValue method, it is validated that the value gets updated as the replacement value...
