
Explanation of Solution
Comments in Java:
A comment is used to document the program for better understanding of the program. The compiler treats the comment as a white space and ignores it during execution of the program.
Types of comments:
- Single line comment
- Multiline comment
- Documentation comment.
Single Line comment:
If the compiler encounters a single line comment (//), then it ignores the words up to the end of the line.
Syntax:
Single line comment:
//Java
Multiline comment:
If the compiler encounters a multiline comment (/* .. */), then it ignores the statement between the symbol /* and */...
