Pygmy goats come from the Equatorial region in Africa. They are genuine genetic dwarfs and are kept mainly as pets for companionship. They can’t compete with either the milk or meat breeds because of their size.

Their diet which consists of mainly forage and hay gives them a perpetually rounded, pregnant appearance although they are not fat and this is quite normal for Pygmies.

These goats really are the friendliest and amusing animals and while most people come here to meet our fantastic alpacas and llamas they generally go away with these guys as their firm favourites.

We generally breed our Pygmy goats once a year so we sometimes have Pygmy goat kids available for selected people to purchase. There is nothing cuter!
