Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his duties as Roma head coach after a difficult start to the Serie A season. The club legend replaced Jose Mourinho as interim boss back in January, and was given the job on a permanent basis after a strong run to the end of last season. But the Italian has paid the penalty after failing to win any of his first four games of 2024/25.

Daniele De Rossi has been sacked as Roma's head coach after a difficult start to the 2024/25 campaign, with former Torino boss Ivan Juric named as his replacement.
De Rossi made over 600 appearances and spent 18 years at the Serie A club as a player, where he was loved and adored by the Roma supporters.
The former midfielder was brought in on an interim basis to replace Jose Mourinho after he was also dismissed from the club in January.
However, despite only recently signing a new contract to stay with Roma until 2027, De Rossi has been relieved of his duties after a winless start to the league season.
The club's statement read: "AS Roma announces that Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the first team.
"The club's decision is made in the best interests of the team, to get back on the desired path as soon as possible at a time when the season is still in its early stages.

"A heartfelt thank you to Daniele, who will always be at home at the Giallorossi club, for the work he has done in recent months with passion and dedication.
"Communication regarding the team's technical guidance will follow."
During his short spell in charge of the club, De Rossi guided Roma to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals last season and to sixth in the league.
But Roma now find themselves just one point above the relegation zone in 16th place, having drawn three of their opening four league matches.
They looked set to claim their first win of the new campaign at Genoa on Sunday but were denied by a 96th-minute equaliser from Koni De Winter.
The Serie A club have moved quickly to appoint a replacement, with Juric taking the reins until the end of the season.
The former Croatia manager was most recently in charge of Torino, but amicably parted ways with the club after a mid-table finish in the 2023/24 campaign.
He will be in the dugout for the league game against Udinese on Saturday, while Roma then face Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League next Thursday.
Juric has previously held coaching roles at Verona, Crotone and Genoa, and will reportedly get a one-year contract extension should he guide his new club to a UEFA Champions League qualification spot.
In a statement on the club website, Roma said: "AS Roma announces that Ivan Juric is the new Technical Manager of the First Team."
He becomes their third permanent manager of 2024, after the sacking of Jose Mourino in January.
