Not done with this yet. Some components aren't identified, as I think
they are support chips. I only have so much time. I do need to add another
bank of VRAM plus U2-U9.

PS/2 Image Adapter/A options diskette, version 1.04
The Image Adapter/A is a high-resolution
adapter, capable of driving displays up to 128 MHz, with a maximum screen
addressability of 1600x1200 pels. The Driver output impedance for video
signals is 75 ohms. The sync. lines of the adapter are TTL levels driven
by 4 ma drivers, therefore the termination should at the very least
be at 750 ohms
It contains a 32 bit 8.5 MIP display
processor, a 128 MHz serializer, video palette, digital to analog converters
and a CRT controller.
Memory on the adapter comprises
1Mb of video RAM and 512Kb of instruction RAM. A 1Mb DRAM Memory
Expansion Kit is available for applications requiring additional data memory
or improved performance.
A Printer/Scanner Option (#1632)
is available with the adapter allowing the direct attachment of the following
devices:
o IBM 3812 Printer Model 002 with Image Feature (#4050)
or IBM 4216 Personal Pageprinter Model 020
o IBM 3117 Scanner with extension unit (PN 6456808) or
IBM 3118 Scanner or Bell & Howell 2115I (1) Scanner or equivalent
IBM PS/2 Image Adapter/A enables
both a scanner and a printer to be attached at one time via this optional
printer/scanner daughter card. Use of the Printer/Scanner Option does not
require an extra system unit slot.
The Image Adapter/A is available in three versions:
1. The Image Adapter/A 1MB is available with one megabyte
of Video Memory (VRAM). It can be upgraded to three megabyte of VRAM and
the Image Adapter/A Memory Expansion Kit
2. The Image Adapter/A 3MB has two megabytes of VRAM and
the Image Adapter/A Memory Expansion Kit already installed
3. The Image Adapter/A 3MB 6091 is the same as the Image
Adapter/A 3MB, but also has a cable for attaching an IBM 6019-019 Color
Display
The three versions of the Image Adapter/A
support IBM analog displays equipped with a 15-pin direct-drive analog
interface
It can be installed in any IBM PS/2 MCA
system unit, except portable models
Image-I
Adapter/A
The Image-I Adapter/A is a high-resolution adapter, capable of
driving displays up to 230 MHz, with a maximum screen addressability of
1600x1280 pels
The Image-I Adapter/A is available in 3MB only and is ISO enabled
The Image-I Adapter/A supports only ISO refresh rates. It does
not support non ISO displays
The Image-I Adapter/A can coexist with the following video subsystems:
o VGA on a PS/2 planar
o XGA (R) chipset on a PS/2 planar
o XGA-2 chipset on a PS/2 planar
o XGA Display Adapter/A card
o XGA-2 Display Adapter/A card
The IBM PS/2 Image-I Adapter/A can be installed in any Micro Channel
(R) Architecture PS/2 386, 386SX, 386SLC (TM), 486SX, 486 or higher systems
.Supported systems include Personal System/2 (R) Model 55 SX and SLC (TM),
56 SX, 56 SLC, 56 486SLC2, 57 SX, 57 SLC, 57 486SLC2, 65 SX, 70, 76, 77,
P75, 80, 90 XP, and 95 XP; Ultimedia (R) Model M57, M77
and M57 486SLC2; and IBM Industrial Computer 7546.
The display attached to the Image Adapter can show VGA graphics
only if the adapter is installed in the AVEC slot. Ideally, the Image Adapter
should be installed in the AVEC slot unless this slot is already in use
(e.g. with an 8514/A Adapter)

6019-019 Display Cable
This cable is required if the Image Adapter/A or the Image-I
Adapter/A is supporting an IBM Color Display 6019-019. The cable is supplied
with the Image Adapter/A 3MB 6019. The cable must be ordered separately
for all others
Image Adapter/A Options
You can attach optional features only to the Image Adapter/A
1. Printer/Scanner Option
2. Memory Expansion Kit
3. PS/2 Video Memory Expansion Option
.
For a single display configuration, you must always attach the
display to the display connector on the Image Adapter/A and not to the
system- unit display connector
