An Invitation To Play Cards With A Friend

I'm over on the STAMPlorations blog tonight, playing cards with a very special friend.  I'm sure many of you know Michele Ferguson of I Card Everyone.  Some time ago she turned my Layered Poinsettias set into spring flowers using the split four technique here, and I loved the result so much that I CASEd her here and again here.

Seize The Birthday - Wheels

 

We've got a new challenge for you at Seize The Birthday.  It was my turn to choose, and I went for Wheels.

I stamped several images from DoCrafts Papermania Classic Cars over my panel and adhered it to a purple base card, then cut the Happy Birthday To You (MFT Dienamics) from spare purple card and used the negative as a template for adhering the letters.  I added Crystal Stickles, which schparkle iridescent green against the purple.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #319

 

It's inspiration time at STAMPlorations, and I've been smooshing and mopping backgrounds to make some cards, and this is the first of them.

Once my Distress Ink background was dry, I stamped the Sketched Rose in black, then stamped the script stamp from Mixed Media Elements in grey and adhered the panel to my card.

Hello, we're celebrating spring at STAMPlorations with a blog hop and linky party, and we're using the new card fronts that are in the store.  They're beautiful designs and fabulous quality - you'll only need to pair them with a sentiment and you're good to go.

For my card, I simply matted it onto yellow then mounted it onto a purple card base, and added a yellow/purple sentiment.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #318

Hello, got some STAMPlorations Tuesday Inspiration for you today.  I used The Bee's Knees Folk Flowers to stamp three flowers in a deep coral, then infilled with some colour.  I stamped the stems then added leaves with a paintbrush.  The Happy is from Big Greetings and Birthday is from Happy Birthday.

Seize The Birthday - Make It A Bouquet!

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday, and this time Colleen's choice is Make It a Bouquet!  (Or just anything goes birthday, if you prefer.)

My bouquet is made up of Tim Holtz flowers dipped and spritzed in Distress Inks, with a bit of coloured pencil for detail.  The stencil for the background is from STAMPlorations.

STAMPlorations Spring Florals Kit

Did you see the fabulous Spring Coffee Kit special release from STAMPlorations last week?  Well, this week, we bring you the Spring Florals Kit.  There are two stamp sets (a 4x6 image set and a 3x5 quote set), two standard stencils and two mini versions.

I stamped out the flower image a few times and sloshed some colour on, then decided to cut the end sprigs off one image to use as ATCs, with the stencils as backgrounds and a quote on each.

For my card I inked and spritzed the leaf stencil and printed it onto lightweight card, which I mounted onto my card base.  I trimmed the flower garland and adhered it to the panel, along with a sentiment stamped in green.  (note to self: must use coloured inks for sentiments more often.)
