Trevor Quilligan: Gave himself up
Detectives were called in after a red Ford Sierra car was believed to have struck three pedestrians on the Uxbridge Road outside Ealing Hospital in Southall, west London, on Wednesday.

Baby Kieron Tighe, from Harrow, north west London, died of multiple head injuries at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital on Thursday.

A five-year-old boy and his young mother were also seriously injured in the accident.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was discharged from hospital. She is at her son's bedside in hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

Police believe a white Transit van may also have been involved in the accident. They have appealed to the driver and to the travellers' community for help with the case.
