EU foreign policy chief to work with 'quiet diplomacy'

Britain's Baroness Catherine Ashton has spoken of her pride at being chosen as the EU's foreign policy chief - one of two top jobs created by the Lisbon Treaty.

Baroness Ashton, the current EU Trade Commissioner, pledged to work with "quiet diplomacy" in her new role.
