Monstrous megafauna

Palaeontologists are finding evidence of the extraordinary creatures - or megafauna - which lived around a hundred thousand years ago: from giant kangaroos and marsupial lions, to turtles the size of small cars and carnivorous ducks equipped with bills the size and shape of an axe. All of them have been brought to life in a new exhibition at the Australian Museum, in Sydney, from where Nick Squires reports.
