With Peter Snow as your guide, you can stay in touch with all the latest happenings from the election campaign, delivered direct to your desktop.

How to receive the alerts

If you are already a user of the BBC News desktop alerts service, simply right click on the orange globe icon in the system tray and choose "Options". From there, select Peter Snow's election news.

New users will have to install the alerts software.

If you are in the UK Download BBC News desktop alerts - FOR UK USERS
If you are outside the UK Download BBC News desktop alerts - FOR USERS OUTSIDE THE UK

Please note: This service is only available for PCs using Windows.

Other features of the service include general breaking news, an election results alert for your chosen constituency as soon as it is called, and for quieter moments, you can test your darts skills with the Peter Snow swingometer game.

If you are in the UK, you can also choose to be reminded about the best of our current affairs programming on BBC TV and Radio.

If you live outside the UK you can also find out about programming on BBC World Service.

The download is quick and simple and does not require any personal information from you.
