... har kommit! Och vilket paket sen! Ett härligt toffelkit från Navia, två glada röda nystan Tove (som jag ska just tova med!), Turkisk peppar och två av Friggs goda teer: Blåbär och Ingefära Citron. Underbart! TACK!!!!!
Men jag har fortfarande inte listat ut vem du är!!? Nyfiken i en strut alltså.
Annars har det varit sällsynt lite stickning på sista tiden. Min OS-stickning gick åt pipan för att jag bytte projekt två gånger. Nu har jag alltså ingen medalj, men väl tre nya UFON! :-) Jag är glad ändå, det gick ju bra för så många andra och jag kommer snart att vara klar med min fina väst i Heavens Hand (Cornelia Hamilton har designat västen och jag föll pladask för den när jag såg den på Nina på Syfestivalen. Snygg och användbar!)
Tack för alla kommentarer om mitt nya jobb: Jag trivs hur bra som helst och lär mig så mycket nytt varje dag. :-) De som säger att livet börjar vid 40 har nog rätt.

Oj, tiden rusar!!! Jag har nytt jobb med allt vad det innebär av nya rutiner och (lite i alla fall) prestationsångest. :-) Jobbet är kul och jag gillar verkligen mina nya arbetskamrater men är HELT SLUT på kvällarna. :-)

Jag har en ny stickning på gång och det är helt oväntat en offwhite Snowbird. Undrar om den kommer att fastna på bild? Just nu är fotografering inte min starka sida....

I got the inspiration for this pattern from my friend Nina who gave me the beautiful and lovely Noro Cashmere Island as a gift. The shawl is soft, ultra light and has a happy look due to the fringe and I have more or less lived in mine ever since I made it. The pattern is really easy, but make sure your knitting needles work well with the mohair if you are new to knitting with fine yarns. I used Addi Lace which works really well for me because of the sharp needle.
Needles: 4 mm (US 6) straight or circular needles
Yarn: 2 balls HP Kid Opale col. 303, 1 skein Noro Cash Island col. 11
(Rowan Kid Silk Haze is the perfect substitution for the Kid Opale since it is even softer.)
Please note that you might need 2 skeins of the Cash Island depending on your gauge.
Gauge: Not important for this project
With Kid Opale, cast on 3 sts .
Row 1: Slip 1, purl to end.
Row 2: Slip 1, kfb, knit to end.
Repeat these two rows until you have 10 sts, ending with a wrong side row.
Change to the Cash Island, leaving a tail about 12–15cm (5-6 in.). Do NOT cut the mohair yarn!
Knit 2 rows without increasing on the right side row. Cut yarn leaving a tail about 12-15 cm (5-6 in.)
Change back to the mohair and repeat row 1 and 2 until you have 15 sts.
Change to the Cash Island, leaving a tail about 12–15cm (5-6 in.). Do NOT cut the mohair yarn!
Knit 2 rows without increasing on the right side row.
Continue like this until the first ball of mohair is almost used up and knit two rows of Cash Island as set before you start decreasing.
Row 1: Slip 1, k2tog, knit to end.
Row 2: Slip 1, purl to end.
Repeat these two rows until you have decreased 5 sts, knit the two rows of Cash Island as set and repeat the pattern until 3 sts left, ending with a wrong side row. Cast off all sts.
Weave in mohair ends. Trim fringe to desired length. Block if needed.
Since this shawl is knit in stockinette stitch it tends to roll along the upper edge. I think that is fine and it also makes the shawl lie close to my neck, but if you don’t want that you could try knitting 3-5 sts along upper edge in moss or garter stitch. (Upper edge is the edge where you don’t increase on the right side.)

OK, I admit, I´m a yarnaholic! I can´t stop by a yarnstore without ending up broke! Also I am 39 years young, happy mother of 3 lovely boys.
