Suspected sockpuppets

Both users have edited almost exclusively on Chinese-Korean controversies on the historical kingdoms of Balhae, Goguryeo, Goguryeo controversies, etc. See the strong editor overlap, which includes the majority of articles that Zessede has ever edited and almost every article that Sunnyediting99 edited in their first several months.

Both have a strong focus on the "Northeast Project", e.g. Zessede at Goguryeo controversies, Sunnyediting99 at Goguryeo controversies.

They also have an unusual timeline overlap:

  • June 8, 2022: Zessede temporarily stops editing after this ANI report which almost resulted in a site ban.
  • June 30, 2022: Sunnyediting99 begins editing. Their first edit (diff) is to continue Zessede's edit war (diff 1, diff 2) to remove a particular passage at Balhae.
  • August 1-9, 2022: One of Zessede's few edits after the ANI report is to revise (diff) one of Sunnyediting99's additions (diff) at Goryeo–Khitan War. This was Zessede's only edit that month and Zessede's only edit at that article (an accident?).
  • September 15, 2022: Zessede is indefinitely blocked by Salvio giuliano for long-term disruption and tendentious editing.
  • September 21, 2022: Sunnyediting99 restores (diff) removed material originally added by Zessede (diff) at Goguryeo controversies. — MarkH21talk 00:31, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
