Old Aircraft De- Icing Factory Edgewater,NJ

USA / New Jersey / Cliffside Park /
production, historical layer / disappeared object

This old factory was built in the 1940's and made solvents to de-ice the wings on airplanes. Most parts of the factory were between 7 to 10 floors above the ground. In August 2008 demolition started on this big abandoned factory. The job was surprisingly finished in November of 2008. Since parts of the building were too high for some cranes they used little bobcats on the top floors with chippers on them. A big red crane lifted the machines onto the roof and they started to work. The factory was approximately 65 years old before it was demolished.
