In addition to Tempo’s latest certification, the company continues to strive towards reducing packaging waste, sourcing ethically and managing its supply chain for a more sustainable future. This is a positive step for us to continue to act responsibly and acknowledges our dedication towards reducing the trade of illegally logged wood.

We work to continuously improve the quality and safety of our products and comply with all mandatory standards and reporting requirements globally. Our approach to quality and safety is underpinned by comprehensive quality and compliance framework, which outlines the requirements expected of our suppliers, manufacturers, buyers, agents, and quality teams.

This also extends to sourcing our products ethically. In the 2014 financial year, we implemented a number of measures aimed at enhancing working conditions and safety in manufacturer factories, including a strengthened SEC Program and team. The most common issues identified during audits included excessive overtime and incomplete or inadequate records. A corrective action plan is provided to all factories that fail to meet our SEC Program and follow-up audits are scheduled to ensure compliance.

In order to strengthen our approach in line with international standards any supplier who fails to adhere to the following key SEC areas will be deregistered, meaning no further orders will be placed:
