SPECweb® 2009 (RETIRED)
The SPECweb® 2009 benchmark is the next-generation SPEC benchmark for evaluating web server performance. Workloads include: Banking, which is a fully secure SSL-based workload; Ecommerce, which includes both SSL and non-SSL requests; and Support, which is a non-SSL workload that includes large downloads. New with SPECweb 2009 is the inclusion of a Power workload (based on the Ecommerce workload) and a performance/power metric. Measurements for the power workload are based on the SPECpower methodology and require the use of one of the accepted power analyzers.
The SPECweb® 2009
benchmark has been retired. Please see the retirement notice below for details
regarding technical support and independent result publication. SPEC has made it available for sale
after its retirement.
Retirement Notice
On August 9, 2011, SPEC announced that the
SPECweb® 2009 benchmark was to be retired
on 12 January 2012 and will no longer be actively supported after that date.
Publication of results with the SPECweb 2009 benchmark requires that an initial result be accepted
for each location (See: http://www.spec.org/fairuse.html#DefineByLocation)
Testers who have been through this acceptance process may continue to publish rule-compliant
results after retirement of the benchmark. If a test location has not had an initial result
accepted and if the tester would like to preserve their ability to independently publish
results after the benchmark is retired, the tester must have submitted a result for review by SPEC
no later than 12 January 2012.

Update notices:
Dec. 09, 2010: Version 1.20 is now available. This update contains various updates
and bug fixes. Licensees of earlier versions may contact SPEC for a free update to version 1.20.
Oct. 22, 2009: The newly-released version 1.10 includes new ASPX scripts in addition to the previously included
PHP and JSP based scripts. As described in the Run Rules document,
the results from using each of these types of scripts will have different metric names and will be tabulated
separately.
