Aaron Cragin has served on the SPEC board of directors since 2021 and serves on the SPECpower Committee.
Prior SPEC Roles
Aaron worked with SPEC CPU and SPECpower Committees from 2008 – 2012 and was a user of SPEC benchmarks from 2012-2018 as part of Microsoft's Server Standards procurement group and subsequent Windows Cloud Server (WCS) and Open Compute initiatives. He returned to SPEC committee work in 2018. Aaron has trained industry partners on the SPEC SERT® suite, regarding Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/424 (Lot9), to meet compliance for datacenter regulations and shipment.
Industry Role
Aaron is a senior hardware engineer at Microsoft in Azure's Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Engineering Group. His work focuses on product development for datacenter solutions, performance, server efficiency and compliance. Aaron started his professional career at Hewlett Packard (HP) in 2006, in the Industry Standard Server (ISS) performance group, focusing on technical marketing and customer proof of concepts. Aaron is Microsoft's primary representative to the SPECpower® Committee.
