SPECapc for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 is SPECapc's latest Pro/E benchmark. Results for this benchmark cannot be compared with SPECapc for Pro/ENGINEER 2001 or any other previous Pro/E benchmarks.
SPECapc for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 uses a complex model of a race car assembly to exercise all areas of system performance relevant to the popular CAD/CAM/CAE application. It runs eight tests to measure performance for graphics, CPU and I/O.
In addition to running on 32-bit systems, SPECapc for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 enables performance testing on 64-bit operating systems that can address larger amounts of physical memory.
Users must have a 3D graphics display device recognized
by Pro/ENGINEER in order to run the benchmark. A fully licensed,
released version of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 is required. If a floating
license is used, the workstation's network must be configured
as documented in the Pro/ENGINEER installation guide.
The reference system for computing the normalized
ratio is a Dell Precision Workstation 530 MT, with a 2.4GHz Intel Xeon (512KB L2) processor; Intel 860 chipset; NVIDIA QuadroFX 1000 graphics card; 2GB PC800 RDRAM; 4096MB swapfile; 40GB ATA/100 hard drive; and Windows XP, SP2 operating system.
