SPEC ACCEL: Changes in V1.2

Introduction: Who Wants V1.2?

SPEC ACCEL V1.2 is an incremental update to SPEC ACCEL V1.1. Results generated with V1.2 are comparable to results from V1.1 and V1.0. V1.2 is intended to improve compatibility, stability, documentation and ease of use. V1.2 also adds the OpenMP suite to the benchmark.

The following benchmark changes were made in V1.2:

  • Improved the code to allow for better gang and vector scheduling.

• 353.clvrleaf

  • Changes to allow GNU compilers to successfully compile the benchmark.

• 356.sp

  • Changes to allow GNU compilers to successfully compile the benchmark.

• 370.bt

  • Changes to allow GNU compilers to successfully compile the benchmark.

The following benchmarks were added in V1.2 as part of the OpenMP suite:
