The IEEE TCSE Committee on ReverseEngineering and ReEngineering

This committee, chaired by CristinaCifuentes, promotes technologies for the examination of existing systems and approaches for reengineering of software systems. It covers a wide range of topics, including ProgramUnderstanding, ReStructuring, language translation, data reengineering, system migration, business process reengineering, as well as applications to SoftwareMaintenance, SoftwareReuse, SoftwareTesting, and DocumentationGeneration. It co-sponsors the Working Conference on Reverse Engineering (WCRE) and has prompted significant growth in both research papers and industrial exchange on these topics.
