Suzanne Zelazo
Sister Space
Sisters asleep at the fold,
while histories surface.
Sparrow-waisted, they hinge,
expose butterfly bruises.
Symmetrical, they shimmer
among gaps.
Double exposure of breastbone and fog.
Tufts of inflamed candour,
twinning the overlap.
With a feral flicker they swiften and billow.
Porcelain doubt,
an heirloom that devours
the space between them,
conjoined.
Swallowing sisters,
not fleeting, or shifting, or slaying,
but enjambing,
victorious.
Congruent
Cortical velvet mouthbloom
aloof on syncopated sunshine
bruised passage of limelight
Agape under Northern Lights
daughters of deco
echo of sunshine
forever and always and sometimes
