The ElementTree package is a simple, efficient, and quite popular library for XML manipulation in Python. The :mod:`xml.etree` package contains the most common components from the ElementTree API library. In the current release, this package contains the :mod:`ElementTree`, :mod:`ElementPath`, and :mod:`ElementInclude` modules from the full ElementTree distribution.
