The 11th International Parallel Processing Symposium will be held at the University of Geneva where on-campus housing will be available to IPPS attendees along with some meals. Details will be available as part of the IPPS '97 Advance Program. For more information on all activities, see addresses on other side or check the Web page at http://culwww. unige.ch/~ipps97. Sponsored by the Technical Committee on Parallel Processing, the symposium is the committee's primary forum for engineers and scientists from around the world to present their latest research findings in the field. In addition to technical sessions of submitted paper presentations, IPPS '97 will offer workshops, tutorials, an industrial track, and commercial exhibits.
The Geneva Agenda
In 1997, IPPS travels to Europe and the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). Visitors will be treated to the towering Jet d'Eau water plume, lakeside gardens featuring the celebrated flower clock, and a clear view of the Alps which surround Geneva. Whatever your vantage point, Geneva is a truly international city, serving as the historical crossroads of civilizations and as a hub for air and ground transportation in Europe. Our University of Geneva hosts are making arrangements for on-campus housing as well as specially priced nearby hotel accommodations. Also through the University, IPPS will be able to provide daily luncheon in addition to the usual breaks and refreshments. Full details will be available in the Advance Program. Symposium Co-Chairs are Viktor K. Prasanna of the University of Southern California and Jose Rolim of the University of Geneva where the event will be held. This joint effort is reflected throughout the IPPS '97 organization, and you are encouraged to contact parties at locations most convenient to you.
