 The only location listed by the IMDB is in Florida, but the number plates on the Land-Rover 109'' Series IIa (/vehicle_146008-Land-Rover-109---Series-IIa-1961.html) suggest that part of this was filmed in South Africa.

 The outdoor shots were filmed in California:

Only a few scenes were obviously made in Africa. Probably archive footage was used.
