i added new photos of when they rescue the girl. i slow motioned and didn't see a back seat..unless they removed it for taping the other scenes. it looks like it has the gray lower body panels..so definitely an '84ish Civic(S?) or CRX. the one photo shows the seat pattern...wonder if that'll help. -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 21:59:27 |

the angle of the back window and roof line (girl out window)...makes me think CRX. the civic would be flatter since the back window doesn't get smaller by the hatch..right? crx: /vehicle_9913-Honda-CRX-1986.html civic: /vehicle_24732-Honda-Civic-1984.html /vehicle_56587-Honda-Civic-1984.html -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 22:10:01 |

yeah I am (now) thinking 1984-1985 CRX |
◊ 2007-02-07 22:34 |
I'm sure it's CRX. *climate control panel is in the meter cluster http://kumo.swcp.com/synth/crx/media/86-dash.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 22:34:48 |

wasn't there also a difference in the steering wheels between a CRX and Civic? i thought the Civic's hand rests came out horizontal vs down like this one. |
◊ 2007-02-07 22:55 |
I don't think the climate control was on my cluster in my 87 CRX, anyway wasnt the dash the same in the Civic and Crx?? |

in 86/87, the Civic's looked more like this: -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 23:12:14 |

went ebay shopping for early 80's Civic/CRX and the CRX is the only one with climate like Jun mentioned. the civic also looks like it has a cover over the cluster area...vs the CRX looks all 1 piece. CRX: Civic (bad photo) -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 23:19:12 |

'84-'87 Civic dash (jp model) *3door http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto/CIVIC/19830922/cv83-021.html *4door http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto/CIVIC/19830922/cv83-076.html *5door(Shuttle) http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto/CIVIC/19830922/cv83-052.html 86/87 US model uses same dash of Civic 3/4door model. I know it first time, thank you. Then, is this the '84- CRX? -- Last edit: 2007-02-07 23:21:51 |

If the crash is not visible it is maybe even not the same car, that would not be the first time that they use such trick. |
◊ 2007-02-07 23:30 |
Wow, you have good eyes, Door handle of crashed car is Civic! |
◊ 2007-02-07 23:47 |
Actually I didn't see anything, it was just a supposition on the fact that no crash was visible in the series (cf comments on main movie page) |
◊ 2007-02-08 15:14 |
That's kinda funny..I didn't even think to look at the door handle. Since the main photo is the CRX I guess it could stay the CRX and it's not worth posting the Civic since there's not much left of it. I guess the props department couldn't find a wrecked CRX...or they couldn't find a Civic in good shape to do the earlier scene. |

86-87 CRX because the rear view mirror is black (cream on 84-85) |
◊ 2009-11-25 22:45 |
rearview mirror on my 87 was the same color as the headliner (off-white) |
