Hi,

I wonder if the sound (buzz) was supposed to mimic a predator bug of some
kind?  Possibly trying to drive away pest insects.

They use sound on many pests.

Although from an audio standpoint, it would sound like a Boeing 747 engine
or something to a small insect.
