  Gordon here, I have three different males, and over 12 females persimmons. 
The only thing of beauty in some of these are that some have leaves that are 
7 X 12 inches. The only color I notice is some yellow. But if I can help 
you, with males or females you know where I am at. Roger Miller should have 
my one male. I would have to look up the name. The other one I call Dean-VM 
after one of my grandsons because he likes persimons.
   I like grafting onto larger diameter trees that did not produce what I 
want, because I get fruit response in a year or two. I have four bark grafts 
onto a 2 1/2 to 3 inch persimmon that was supposed to be yates, but it was a 
little half inch pipsqueek. These grafts were put on this spring, and there 
is around 3 foot or more of growth this year. I expect blossems next spring.
