Contact our mail server clinton-info@campaign92.org and add your own mailing lists to the various distribution lists so that the new material will accumulate in files at your site. We'd very much like to continue WAIS indexing the announcements and making them available via ftp and WAIS from sunsite. We have been running WAIS searches from here as well via an email interface. We could support the email WAIS interface to your site as well. Please send me the latest info for wais and ftp from your site. What's the best way for us to work with you on this? Should we simply subscribe to the various lists and make those available? Actually we'd like more "official" stuff than just that--say the transcripts of the economic conference, nomination announcements, speeches and position papers. Some of this material is in the current outgoing text streams. We can also handle non-textual information--say maps, charts, pictures, and sounds (a good digitized minute or two would be especially nice to distribute as a starter). No action here yet. SunSite has seen a lot of activity by folks all over the world. Since October 9, we've had over 4000 searches of the WAIS database of Clinton speeches and over 8000 downloads of the same files since September 24. Very interesting. Can you send me your full accounting? Let us know how we can help> What future would you see for your group in distributing information of this variety? There is some work underway to link up WAIS and world wide web. Would your group be interested in linking up documents or structured email debates for inspection via WAIS? ============================================== Paul Jones Office FOR Information Technology University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, NC Paul_Jones@unc.edu Self-determination for Kernow, Alba, Cymru, Eire, Mannin, and Breizh
