Office of Technology Assessment

The Congressional Office of Technology Assessment closed on September 29, 1995. During its 23-year history, OTA provided Congressional members and committees with objective and authoritative analysis of the complex scientific and technical issues of the late 20th century. The full text of OTA Reports in Acrobat PDF format are hosted at Princeton University. The National Academy of Sciences and the Government Printing Office. These sites contain all the formally issued reports of the Office of Technology Assessment, as well as many background papers and contractor papers--over 100,000 pages. Texts of some OTA publications are available in text format at a mirror of the original OTA site at Idaho State University. All OTA assessments and the navigation materials at these sites are in the public domain,
