5th Munitions Squadron

The 5th Munitions Squadron is the only squadron in Air Combat Command supporting two legs of the nuclear triad, the B-52H and Minuteman III, in addition to a conventional role. The squadron is responsible for the accountability, inspection, maintenance, storage, handling and delivery of all conventional munitions and special weapons, air launched cruise missiles, gravity weapons, and advanced cruise missiles. The MK-12 section is responsible for the maintenance on the Minuteman III Re-entry System. The armament section is responsible for the maintenance on all alternate mission equipment release systems. Recent squadron highlights include a new conventional munitions storage area and operation facility enhancing the squadron's conventional capability.
