Complex 18

This complex included two launch pads 18A and 18B. Pad 18A was used to launch 14 VANGUARD space vehicles for NASA and the U.S. Navy between 08 December 1956 and 19 September 1959. Pad 18B supported 17 THOR missile launches between 04 June 1958 and 01 March 1960. Following termination of the VANGUARD program, Pad 18A supported 10 BLUESCOUT I, BLUESCOUT II and SCOUT missions between 07 January 1961 and 13 April 1962. Complex 18 was deactivated on 01 February 1967 and remains inactive.
