The '''Table of Nations''' is the name given to the Biblical account in [[Genesis#Chapter_10_-_The_Table_of_Nations|Genesis Chapter 10]] of how different people descended from the sons and grandsons of [[Noah]].  

After the flood, people stayed in one area until God confused their languages at [[Tower of Babel|Babel]], whereupon they began to disperse across the world. In general, the descendants of Japheth spread North, West, and East from Babel, into parts of [[Europe]], [[Asia]], and the [[Americas]]; the descendants of Ham spread south and east, into [[Africa]], southeast Asia, and [[Australia]]; and the descendants of Shem remained around the [[Middle East]] and spread into [[Europe]].

==Genesis Chapter 10==

The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. <small><font color=#0000FF>10:8</font></small> Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth. <small><font color=#0000FF>10:9</font></small> He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh.” <small><font color=#0000FF>10:10</font></small> The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. <small><font color=#0000FF>10:11</font></small> Out of that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, <small><font color=#0000FF>10:12</font></small> and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city). <small><font color=#0000FF>10:13</font></small> Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, <small><font color=#0000FF>10:14</font></small> Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim. 

<small><font color=#0000FF>10:15</font></small> Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth, <small><font color=#0000FF>10:16</font></small> the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite, <small><font color=#0000FF>10:17</font></small> the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite, <small><font color=#0000FF>10:18</font></small> the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad. <small><font color=#0000FF>10:19</font></small> The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha. <small><font color=#0000FF>10:20</font></small> These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
