Mount of Olives is a mountain in East Jerusalem in Israel.
Geography
The Kidron Valley seperates the Mount of Olives from the Old City of Jerusalem. Gethsemane is located on the eastern slopes of the mountain. Big part of the eastern sloves is covered with cementries and also chruches.
History
Kingdom of Judah period
During the Kingdom of Judah king David escapes from Absalom through the mountain.
Romand period
Jesus was taken to Heaven from the Mount of Olives and is the location of His second coming.
