One mantra I always come back to, within my work and for my children, is that if you can read- you can do. I've always been an avid reader and lately, I’ve leaned into books that challenge how we think about leadership, clarity, and long-term systems. “The Creative Act” by Rick Rubin stood out. It’s less about art and more about cultivating stillness and attention, which I think is foundational for good leadership. I also revisited “The Art of Gathering” by Priya Parker. It reshaped how I think about meetings, events, and even how we show up in distributed teams. Intentional structure makes all the difference. This summer, I’m planning to read “The Coming Wave” by Mustafa Suleyman. It’s about AI, power, and the systems we’ll need to survive the next era. And I’ve got “Quit” by Annie Duke on deck too. I’m interested in how we make cleaner, faster decisions about when to double down and when to walk away, especially in high-autonomy environments like #WordPress.
