The Core Development Team builds WordPress., there were some technical limitations that were blocking the project (mainly trying to avoid 3rd party services calls). So it’s been proposed to build a first version without those constrains to test it and gather feedback. Then we could work on removing dependencies (we have an open line with the Green Web Foundation to achieve, at least part of this, in the future).

  • Guidelines for making WordPress websites more sustainable. Following the recent publication of the post, there has been a conversation about the format and structure of the guidelines in terms of possible publishing platforms. It has been concluded that the best option for now, is to open a discussion on the GitHub project and ask people who are more familiar with those platforms (or anyone else who can shed light on the subject) to give us their opinion.
