Keeping secrets secure with secret scanning
Let GitHub do the hard work of ensuring that tokens, private keys, and other code secrets are not exposed in your repository.
Secret scanning is enabled on public repositories in all products. Secret scanning is also available in private repositories owned by organizations that use GitHub Enterprise Cloud and have a license for GitHub Advanced Security. For more information, see "GitHub's products."
