「Gutenberg」は WordPress サイトの構築および発行におけるまったく新しいパラダイムのコードネームです。グーテンベルクが印刷業界に起こしたのと同じ大規模な革命をパブリッシング体験全体に起こすことを目的としています。現在、プロジェクトは WordPress のあらゆる部分と関連する4フェーズのプロセス、編集、カスタマイズ、コラボレーション、多言語対応の最初のフェーズにあり、新しい編集体験「ブロックエディター」にフォーカスしています。
ブロックエディターは固定ページや投稿にモジュラー方式を導入します。エディター内のコンテンツ、たとえば「段落」や「ギャラリー」から「見出し」までがそれぞれ「ブロック」になり、実際のブロック同様 WordPress のブロックもまた追加、整列、移動でき、ビジュアルに直感的な方法でデザイン性のあるページを作成できます。ショートコードやカスタム HTML は必要ありません。

Do you like adding content to groups only to find that your groups are invisible and painfully difficult to move other content into? How about dragging a block around the screen, going to get a cup of coffee, and coming back only to find that the block is still catching up to your mouse movements from a few minutes ago?
Then you're in luck! You will love Gutenberg!
Seriously though, devs... at least add visible group outlines, or the ability to drag things in outline view, or a teensy little debounce, or SOMETHING to make this editor less painful to use. The thing was released over a year ago.
Liebe Leute, diese neue Block Technik ist aber sowas von daneben. Intuitiv schonmal gar nicht. Ich verliere da vollkommen die Orientierung. Nee oh nee 🙁
One star for the idea of using blocks, although this has been in other CMS since more than a decade (e.g. TYPO3). #lateadopters
1. For writing simple articles Gutenberg is absolutely contra-intuitive and designed user-unfriendly.
2. For building fance websites, Gutenberg cannot compete with even the worst site builders I have seen.
I love wordpress since many years, but in Gutenberg I cannot see any advantage and believe me: I've tried. 🙂
If you are using page builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder...etc you will be able to gain a significant boost in page speed once you switch to Gutenberrg. I did and are happy I made the switch.
2 stars because I use it only on my homepage. And honestly, I don't like the experience. Too many clicks just to make a simple change or addition. In some cases the block features are pretty primitive, unless you supplement with some premium block plugins. So it's not really free to some extend.
I updated to 10.5.3 and it wiped out my home page!!
Do NOT update. This update has a show-stopping bug!!
Of course if your webpage is meant to look oldfashioned, boring and unattractive you should stay with the old editor which might be what we were used to but which always disappointed as soon as you wanted more of it. I built my first websites with Adobe GoLive and it is quite funny how the blocks give me a bit of the same feeling although they are much more comfortable to use.
So if you are not one of those people who are stuck in the past and/or unable/unwilling to learn something new and fun you will have to give the Gutenberg a five star rating. If you are really trying to get your message over in an attractive manner than give yourself a day or two to play around with the blocks and you will fall in love.
So far no troubles, no breakdowns, no nothing - works extremely well and smooth.
