I'm Joel, and I write a bunch of Open Source libraries primarily in the JavaScript/React/React Native realm. I don't do it for Twitter fame, money, career, status or even idealistic reasons – it's just because my happy place is solving problems, helping out, and sharing what I make with others. Despite sparse promotion, my libraries are fairly popular in terms of stars and downloads, and recently appeared on the ThoughtWorks Technology Radar.

Since my day job is not Open Source friendly, the work I do is on weekends and late nights – sometimes I even take vacation/unpaid leave to materialize a bigger idea I have. This means that in order to keep my AFK relationships and mental sanity, my projects don't always get the attention they deserve. If I can sustain myself on sponsorships, I'll quit my job to focus on OSS and community work full time instead.

Some things I want to spend more time on are:

• Performance tooling for React Native (such as my Flipper plugin)
• Refactor RNVI to a multi package/mono repo to reduce bundle bloat, automatic linking and allow for custom community packages
• Visual management UI for Loki that can be integrated with CI
• Horizontal scalability for Loki to be able to run tests at full concurrency in lambdas/cloud functions
• Support issues

Important: I don't want Open Source to become transactional as I believe it's detrimental to the projects' long term health. So if you consider sponsoring me; do it because you think I do a good job in the community or have use for the libraries I create, not because you expect me to implement a particular feature.
