What Happens in My Workshops?
We write, we read, we listen, we respond.
My zoom writing workshops are a great opportunity to develop new work. You’ll have almost an hour to focus on your work divided into timed spring. To inspire and guide your writing, I’ll provide a creative brief or prompt for each sprint.
In the second hour, you’ll have the opportunity to read aloud from your newly written work and to receive feedback. We’ll practice offering strength-based feedback, focusing on what is strong, memorable and working. This method helps writers to recognize their own strengths and skills. It takes the fear out of writing and makes it fun again.
Writing with a supportive environment that includes strength-based feedback is the best way I know of for a writer to develop her voice.
