We don’t ourselves provide podcast transcripts because we believe a podcast is an aural experience. If we started planning for transcription then the whole nature of the episode would change.
That said, automatically generated transcripts of podcasts are available from Spotify and Apple Podcasts; and YouTube can display automatically generated subtitles while you listen.
You can get the Spotify app on any device or computer. You need an account to use it, but this can be a free account. You don’t need to pay. You can click here to subscribe to our podcast.
When you tap on an episode, you will see a short description and a list of chapters (these are Spotify’s chapter headings, not ours). After that there is a button marked “Episode transcript”. When you tap it, you will see Spotify’s transcript of the whole episode. This is automatically generated by Spotify.
You need the free Podcasts app on the iPhone/iPad or the Mac. Once you have it, you can click here to subscribe to our podcast.
Tap on an episode, and you will see a short description of it. Below the description (iPhone/iPad) or in an adjacent tab (Mac) you will see the transcript. You can tap on it to see it in full.
You can listen on the web or through the YouTube app. Here is the link.
While you are listening, you can tell YouTube to display subtitles. While Spotify and Apple Podcasts show you the whole transcript, and scroll through it as you listen, YouTube displays a few words at a time, like the subtitles in a film.
