Guys,

I'm thinking there's little point in maintaining a blog. What I have to write, I generally put on FB, now. It's not like I update here, anyway. I'm keeping it, simply because FB does silly things - quite often - and, one day, there'll be a straw too far for this camel.

UPDATE ON KATZIE

It was, indeed, a UTI. Other than some grogginess from sedation and a bit of grumpiness, my boy is fine, Katrina is grateful to have someone there with her when I'm away at work. Katzie is, of course, demanding cuddling and stroking in return for his heroic pains, and getting it. Special thanks to Mimi, and to all who gave thoughts and prayers.

Katzie is back at the vet's with urinary problems. We're hoping it's just a UTI. Very stressful.

I've been getting grief from some liberal friends. I don't talk about loving the enemy into change, I don't make nice and give platitudes about the gradualness of change. No. I don't.




Simply put, I believe we are at a crisis. Either we get rid of the far right and their antediluvian ignorance, or we all perish. Simply put. For this, I'm derided (oh, so gently and left-handedly) as hysterical and a crackpot. With friends like this . . .



Yet, here is what they don't understand - no, I'm not a good person. Unless God is far more compassionate than even I believe, I will go to Hell. I do so proudly, because here's what I know and my gentle friends don't - good guys don't win. They survive, but accomplish nothing. Mostly, they don't even survive. That's why you need me. I love you and hope for the world you do - a world which will NOT include me.



You are right, evil will defeat evil - and that evil has to be directed. I will happily be destroyed and go to Hell to bring about that destruction, to fire on them with their own guns. You guys can't. You can be innocent as doves, but you haven't mastered the subtlety of serpents. Still less can you be the ravening and roaring lion required to defend God's Creation from Tea Partiers and the New Republican Reich.
