Five Hawke’s Bay teams have entered the 29th NICC tournament - this year hosted by Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club, including three of last year’s winning team representing Taradale Club (HQ last year),- Jo Hayes, Jan Henderson and Sheryl Glock. Barbara Exeter is unavailable and Lillian Tukiri will replace Louise Fitness who is also unavailable.
Other local Chartered Club’s teams contesting this event are:
Club Hastings: Joy Gee, Coral Lukies, Julie Solomon, and Joy Iti - plus: Lynne Hill, Nancy Tucker, Sue Tapuae, and Anne Trembath.
Havelock North: Shirley Chong, Jan Hickman, Valerie Dorreen and Angela Chu.
Taradale RSA: Robyn Wallace, Mere Nepia, Diane Bentley, and Cheryn Menhennett.
Entries number sixty two teams representing their Chartered Clubs (including several past winners); will strive to win this prestigious event to be held at Homai BC, Papakura and Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club bowling clubs.

Robyn Wallace, Mere Nepia, Di Bentley and Cheryn Menhennett (Taradale RSA) - "in the pink' WON the championship group with the last bowl! Nelly Yep's Manurewa Cossie Club team (Cheryl Hunia, Les Eagleton and Sharon Green) were Runners-up.
Lillian Tukiri, Jo Hayes, Jan Henderson and Sheryl Glock (Taradale Chartered Club) WON the Plate - from Karen Forrest's Manurewa Cossie Club team (Nancy Wilson, Donna Jackson and Miriam Pedley) 22-12. A particularly consisten effort from this team – three of which won the event last year held at Bowls Taradale.
