Just Add Ink Challenge # 260

Friday has rolled around quickly again which means its time for another challenge at Just Add Ink! For this challenge we have a brilliant sketch for you to create with:

Your more than welcome to turn it around or go upside down. Whatever takes your fancy!

As soon as I saw this, I immediately thought of a shaker card. I also had a paper pad that I've been itching to use that would give this card a glamorous look as I had seen another challenge photo that inspired the papers and colours I would use.

This is the inspiration photo for the Runway Inspiration Challenge # 82. Isn't this dress breathtaking! Love the sheerness of the skirt and all that gold dotted around. I also loved the contrast between her beautiful pale pink skin and the darkness of the dress. This is why I chose the soft pink and black for my card.

I adhered a piece of the black patterned paper to the card front. I then die-cut the rectangle and then the circle from that piece. I also die-cut another rectangle from white CS for the base of the shaker and adhered a piece of the same pink paper to it, so you would see it through the shaker window.

After gluing in some acetate, I added the tiny gold star sequins, put a layer of foam tape and then adhered the back panel. The shaker was glued directly to the card front. I then added the die-cut banner. Lots of shimmery gold goodness!

The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye 'Fancy That'. The stitched-rectangle die is from Pretty Pink Posh and the circle die from Couture Creations. The pre-cut and printed banner is from Rosies Studio and the sequins from Papervine.

Will also link this to the Simply Create Too Challenge # 83 where their theme is 'No Digi's or Stamped Images'.

And will link to the Virginia's View Challenge # 14 where the theme is:

You have two weeks for this challenge as everyone is attending a very big Stampin Up! Convention in Australia, so you have until Wednesday 6th May 10pm to link your entries to the Just Add Ink challenge. Please visit the blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created as inspiration, they have outdone themselves! Hope to see you in the Gallery!!

Take care
Shona
