Somehow I seem to have only read a handful of women writers over the years:
Flannery O'Connor is one of my favourite authors, period. Ursula Le Guin
impresses me hugely at times. I'm interested in checking out more Kathe
Koja. But I just don't dig dividing it up between men and women anyway -
it's more about great authors to me, regardless of gender.
