So, is it "the Doctor" or "The Doctor"? Same question for "T/the Master."

So, the current Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes...how do you pronounce his first name? I've heard most people use the English version, "Jay-mee," but typically that's spelled "Jamie" as opposed to "Jaime." It makes sense to use the Spanish pronunciation, "Hi-may," but I've never heard anyone say it that way.
