THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Saturday said the agency stands to lose P3 billion in revenues from the one-month suspension of its operations amid the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
“Nawalan tayo ng P3 billion sa isang buwan dahil dito,” PCSO general manager Royina Garma said during the “Laging Handa” press briefing.
The PCSO chief, however, assured that funds are available to respond to coronavirus disease 2019 relief efforts as Small Town Lotteries in Visayas and Mindanao continue.
Garma said the PCSO has released financial assistance to Malasakit Centers located in eight government hospitals.
“Sa Lung Center P1 million sa isang araw ang naka-allot doon. Sa Philippine Children’s Medical Center P400,000, sa Philippine General Hospital P1.5 million, sa Philippine Heart Center P500,000 at sa Rizal Medical Center and Taguig-Pateros District Hospital tig-P400,000,” she said.
“Nawalan man tayo ng kita… pero rest assured mayroon tayong pondo,” Garma said.
Pursuant to President Rodrigo Duterte’s directive imposing enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, the PCSO suspended its Lotto, digit games, and Keno draws.(GMA News)
