Yesterday, Microsoft announced at the Microsoft Build conference the release of Visual Studio 2017 for Mac, a full featured IDE built for the Mac to help developers create anything from mobile and web apps to games.

To use the Unity integration, developers will need at least Unity 5.6.1.

Features include:

  • One click debugging
  • Unity solution pad
  • Intellisense for Unity messages
  • Shader syntax coloring
  • Direct access to the Unity documentation
