In one of her most intimate interviews since returning to the US, Meghan Markle has made a cheeky comment about being back home. The Duchess of Sussex sat down with Gloria Steinem to discuss the importance of women voting in the upcoming election during a “historic backyard chat”, where the former royal also praised her husband, Prince Harry, for being a feminist. The pair then launched into a discussion to encourage women, especially young women, to vote in the 2020 presidential election in the two-minute video clip. Gloria Steinem said one of her most famous quotes, that humans were "linked, not ranked", was based on a notion that consensus, rather than hierarchy should govern laws. The pair spoke about Native Alaskan Elizabeth Peratrovich, who fought for the 1945 Anti-Discrimination Act. Meghan Markle said she has realised it was "not mutually exclusive to be a feminist and be feminine".
The Duke and The Duchess of Sussex were spotted attending an appointment in Beverly Hills. Meghan, carrying a clear pouch containing a toothbrush and a small toothpaste tube, both were spotted looking breezy and California casual.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared an adorable new photo of their son Archie to mark his first birthday. The sweet footage, posted on Save the Children's Instagram page, shows Meghan reading one of her son's favourite books, Duck! Rabbit!, as they relax at home.
The charity 'Save the Children's' put in place an emergency grants programme to make sure the most vulnerable families can purchase basic items and food. In the US, #SAVEWITHSTORIES benefits Save the Children and No Kid Hungry to help make sure kids can learn and get the nutrition they need while they're out of school during this unprecedented time. The US campaign was created by Jen Garner and Amy Adams in March and is being championed by Poppy Delevingne in the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex gave an interview for the documentary "Elephant" to 'Good Morning America'. Disneynature’s Elephant, an original documentary narrated by the Duchess of Sussex, is now streaming on DisneyPlus. The interview was taped last Summer. The Duchess of Sussex narrates the migration of an elephant named Shani and her family as they make an epic 1,000-mile, eight-month trek across Africa. The Elephant documentary is available on the streaming platform Disney and was released on April 3. The Duchess took part in Disney's documentary in order to make a donation to wild life association Elephants Without Borders.
The couple spent two days delivering food to critically ill residents who are at a greater risk amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They went under-the-radar while delivering meals to 20 people after handing over bags of food.
During the call, the Duchess got to speak with some of the women from the Hubb Community Kitchen – including Kitchen Manager, Leila Hedjem, Cherine Mallah, Halima Al-Hudafi, Oxana Sinitsyna and Jennifer Odonkor.
Meghan told the women during the call: "You all had it in you and what was so great is after that first day and then however many visits later, and going 'yeah we’re just going to make a book', and not realising, knowing and having a lot of faith in what you guys could bring to the table, and what you could inspire but obviously not knowing what a huge success it was going to be. That is just a testament to you, and what I love is it's just inspired so many people."
For one of her first solo royal projects in 2018, the Duchess visited the Hubb Community Kitchen at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre in West London, which was supporting families in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. Meghan has continued to make regular private visits and championed the kitchen's 'Together' cookbook, which features personal recipes from the women involved. Proceeds from the book went towards the redesign of the Hubb Community Kitchen and has enabled it to be open for seven days a week.
The Duke of Sussex spoke to families caring for seriously ill children at home, supported by one of his patronages, WellChild, during the Easter weekend. In his engagement since stepping back from royal life on 31 March, Prince Harry chatted with Craig Hatch in Cumbria and Leanne Cooper in Lincoln during the personal call from his new home in Los Angeles. They were joined by WellChild CEO Colin Dyer and nurse Rachel Gregory, and during the call, Harry heard about the challenges of social isolation and the fears of families reliant on carers coming into their homes to help with the round-the-clock, complex medical care that their children need. He also heard how many who have not been included on 'vulnerable' lists were struggling to access support and basic supplies.
His first job with the Sussexes was to photograph the Royal Wedding for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private album.
A glimpse of Chris’ work with the Sussexes back in December 2018 - the gorgeous fireworks shot! That particular image was used for their 2018 Christmas card.
Chris also took the official photos from Archie’s birth phootcall. In addition to this, Chris took Archie’s official christening photos.
Newly engaged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked Alexi to take their official engagement portrait, thanks to a recommendation from Markus Anderson. He took the Sussexes official engagement photos at Frogmore House. At first only two images were officially released. However, shortly after given the overwhelming response, Kensington Palace released a third candid photo - as a thank you. The intimate black and white photo of the Sussexes was selected as the official photo for the Sussexes first Christmas card in 2017. .

Another set of unreleased engagement photos taken by Alexi emerged, first seen on the Queen’s table at Buckingham Palace in May 2018. That particular portrait (swipe) was the official photo used for the Sussexes Royal tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.
Alexi Lumbomirski also had the honour to photograph their official wedding photos. Those pictures will go down in the history books! A total of three shots were released with another shot last November when @sussexroyal shared a sweet photo of the Sussexes to mark their second year engagement anniversary.
