Actapio, Inc. (formerly YJ America, Inc.), the U.S. subsidiary of LY Corporation (formerly Yahoo Japan Corporation), constructed a new data center with approximately 1,600 racks in Washington State, U.S.A., and the data center has begun operations from April 2019.
Actapio, Inc. began operating the first overseas data center (200 racks) of LY Corporation (formerly Yahoo Japan Corporation) in Washington State in December 2014, which LY Corporation has used primarily for multi-big data analysis.
The construction of a larger data center in 2019 has further strengthened LY Corporation's processing infrastructure for the use of multi-big data, enabling advanced analysis of the various big data it holds.

In addition, the data center is located in Washington State, where hydroelectric power generation is thriving and electricity rates are low. Thus, 100% of the electricity supplied is from renewable energy sources, which has realized significant cost reductions.
